PTE is a computer-based English language proficiency test that assesses a candidate's English language proficiency for academic or immigration purposes. The test assesses non-native English speakers' reading, writing, speaking, and listening abilities. PTE is recognized by over 3000+ universities, institutions, and governments all around the world, including the UK, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. PTE registration can be done by creating an account on the official website, completing their profile, selecting their preferred test date and center, and paying the registration fee of INR.15,900.

 

PTE tests are divided into three types: PTE Academic, and PTE General. PTE Academic is intended for non-native English speakers who wish to study in another country. PTE General is designed for people who need to demonstrate their English competence for job or personal reasons. PTE Academic exam lasts for 2 hours. PTE is graded from 10 to 90, with 90 being the highest possible score. The PTE exam delivers results within 48 hours of taking the test and the scorecard is valid for two years. Test-takers are required to answer 53-74 questions within a 2 hours single-sitting test. The PTE exam has four main categories, including PTE-A, PTE-A UKVI, PTE Home, PTE Academic Online.
